The 6th essay in our next book, A Noble Company, Volume 12, The Canadians, is Henriette Feller (1800-1868)
21st Aug 2019
Henriette Feller was an active, practical woman. Her numerous talents and her involvement testify to that. The energy and activity of this woman of faith did not rest in human strength but on healthy, biblical theology. It was therein she drew her strength, courage, and conviction for her actions. Feller had great influence among the young students, pastors, missionaries, and itinerant preachers, not to mention all those who came to the Mission to receive counsel. Her evangelical influence and her responsibility toward the Quebec people required theological maturity that was both solid and clear. Although she never wrote a theological tract, we can glean her convictions through her correspondence. --Stephane Gagne
