Review of the last chapter in biography on the Pecks
23rd Oct 2024
"The closing years of Sarah and John Mason Peck’s lives were bittersweet. On the one hand, they had given of themselves totally to the mission in unimaginable sacrifice, willingly serving others in laying the foundation for religious, cultural, and social progress in Missouri and Illinois. That was the purpose for their coming to the West in 1817, and that is why they remained and accomplished so much for the Kingdom of God and the public good. . . . On the other hand, as a result of each having pushed their bodies to the limit over the years, their health declined and proved to be a challenge during the sunset years of their lives."
Quote is from the last chapter in our forthcoming book - John Mason and Sarah Paine Peck: Missionaries Extraordinaire, written by Myron Dillow.
Hardcover, illustrated, indexed, 386 pages, $26. Release date: Next Wednesday, October 30th!! We are grateful to the Lord for making this possible. To God be the glory for the lives of these two that served Him faithfully to the end.
