Review of Appendix B: Conveying a Sense of God's Greatness

"[These are] words of admonition spoken by Joseph Kinghorn in August of 1817 at the annual meeting of the Northern Baptist Education Society at Bradford, when he told the gathering of ministers and students of the academy there, 'take heed to your personal piety. May this be daily cultivated! You go to a scene of labour in the church, as men of God; what good can you do, or expect to do, if you do not possess godliness? What real pleasure can you have in your work without it? How will you appear at the bar of God at last, if that important qualification for the ministry of the gospel be wanting? You had far better be employed in lawful secular business of any description, than be servants of Christ only in name.' "
