My Friend Leslie
2nd Jun 2021
"Years ago I had a friend. His name was Leslie. We were seven. It was my second school. Leslie had a crippled foot. He was born that way. Leslie could not run and play. He walked with a crutch. I loved Leslie." Thus begins the short story that Cleve Brantley wrote that we've entitled, "My Friend Leslie."
A note from a pastor friend of the Press reads, "I used Brantley's story of his friend Leslie as an illustration. I simply read it and all [the] congregation was in tears including the preacher. . . . The book is worth that simple story, 'My Friend Leslie.' "
