B. T. Welch (1794-1870) was a distinguished Baptist pastor in New York State for forty years, highly regarded by his congregations and ministerial colleagues. Henry L. Morehouse referred to him as “one of the most noted preachers in the denomination” in his day. --Albert W. Wardin, Jr.
